Summary of 2022
We barely had the time to catch our breath after the pandemic when Russia decided to invade Ukraine this february. The least we could say is that it’s been a rough and special year for many people, and all of our thoughts goes to everyone affected by the war.
For Nordic Issuing, our journey began for real when we received our persmissions from the Financial Supervisory Authority. We had already started the journey as a trademark in 2020, but January this year was a big step for us as an independent securities company.
After many years with a boom and a great climate in the market, we feel like we’ve been a little bit spoiled. It’s the first year where we’re experienced a calmer summer and that many transactions during the year has been moved or cancelled. Despite this, we’ve been able to increase our turnover, launched many new services and established more relations with new partners – something we’re very proud of.
This year, our turnover is around SEK 13 million (compared to SEK 11.6 in 2021), and we completed 230 transactions (compared to 250 transactions in 2021). Amongst this, we count 12 IPOs, 45 rights issues, 19 warrant exercises and 15 directed share issues.
During the year we launched two new services – Nordic Issuing Academy (an education within the issuing technical feild) and one service providing Swedish SDRs, where the latter enables listings of foreign companies on a Swedish marketplace.
We’ve also added two new team members – Sara & Sebastian – to strenghten the team even more. Finally, we have launched our latest IT investment which is a digital platform called ‘Mina Sidor’, which enables smoother subscription for all investors in the offers that we provide.
Our focus for 2023 will be to continue developing our business and services, and expand to even more countries. Additionally we want to expand our cooperations with all advisors and the clients. We shall simply continue the journey to become the best issuing agent in the Nordics!
Without all our clients and partners, there would be no Nordic Issuing. For this we want to say many thanks for the confidence and trust we’ve received during the year. We’re hoping for a better year in 203 and are looking forward to develop Nordic Issuing to new levels.
With wishes of a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,
The Nordic Issuing Team
