Abas Protect AB

28 Sep - 18 Oct 2022IPO

ABAS Protect develops, manufactures and sells area protection primarily to industry, public administrations, but also to private individuals. The company has a manufacturing unit in Poland, but the head office with assembly and some manufacturing is in Ambjörnarp, just outside Tranemo.

The business has its roots in the fence factory Gottfrid Svensson established in Hunnabo in Tranemo in 1925. Erling Wendefors, who took over the business a few years later, moved it in 1937 to Ambjörnarp, where it still remains. ABAS Protect’s vision is to be a leading actor when it comes to innovation for the management and control of area protection, which means that customers should receive increased security but at the same time better accessibility for people who are authorized to the area. This has meant that the Company has developed several products such as sliding gates and folding doors that are technically at the forefront and have attracted great interest in the market. In recent years, the company has delivered stable growth with profitability and is now facing an expansion of both the manufacturing units in Ambjörnarp as well as in Poland. The ambition is to expand partly in Sweden, partly in the rest of Scandinavia and Central Europe. Growth that will primarily be organic with the existing product range and profitability, but which can also take place via acquisitions.
